    Though He (God) slay me...

    Job, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, got it right:

    Job 13:15ff
    15Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him;...I know I will be vindicated. (Job will be declared not guilty in God's court. How so? As with all Scripture, keep reading).

    Job 19:25-27
    25.I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.
    26.And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God;
    27.I myself will see him with my own eyes--I and not another.
    How my heart yearns within me!

    v25. "Redeemer" (someone who buys back) Christ would buy back, redeem Job's (our) sins. In this court Christ (defense lawyer) would present to the Judge His perfect life in place of Job's imperfect (sinful) life. Same for us. Where there is forgiveness of sins, there is eternal life--"I shall see God."
