    Spinning reel size?

Ive used the 2500 size reels forever, but i see where alot of guys like the bigger reels, even some 4000 size. What size Tatula Lt should be paired with the tatula 7'3" M for good balance? Thinking 3000?? I want to be able to bomb baits out there as far as possible, does the 4000 cast farther because of a bigger spool?

Not sure if I bought the latest Tatula or not, but the last ones I bought were pretty small, so in the model year I bought, I liked the 4000. I find the larger diameter spools cast better and overall just handle the line better and you typically pick a little more line per turn of the handle

At least in the Daiwas I have, the new 3000 LTs seem about the same physical size of the pre LT 2500. Is say you’ll feel better with a 4000LT on that rod

a 2500 size Daiwa is bigger than a 2500 Shimano. Always has been. so size by "number" is deceiving.

Not in the LT series. Daiwa brought their sizing in line with Shimano starting couple years ago.

Yeah the LTs are pretty small and super light weight.I only have 1000-2000 size, but if I can buy again, I would go with 3000C (for braid). The 2500, 3000C and 3000D are about the same reel body and same weight 6.2-6.3oz, only spool different. And should be about the same or smaller than 2500 size shimano.
