I’ve always wanted a saltwater tank so last September I started one up. 361269DC-FCE0-4503-B34C-011D85F96E4E.jpeg

I don’t know why it automatically rotated my images
Nice set up. How much time do you have to spend on that a week? Ive always wanted ome and saltwater is decently priced here.
Not as much as you would think. Some stuff is automated. Probably spend around an 1 or so pet week working on it. Look at local craigslist adds. Always people getting out of the hobby selling stuff cheap.
What size cube is that? We have a 93 cube currently. We also have bare bottom.
Would love to have one myself

It’s a 50 gallon.
Nice...always find aquariums to be very soothing. (Somebody else’s aquarium)
Used to have a 75 gallon when I lived in the San Diego area, so easy to keep up when you could get filtered sea water from Scripts Aquarium. They had a water faucet outside, just pull up with your 5 gallon buckets and then head home.
As said by Juice, hit Craig's List or FB market place to get used stuff way cheaper than new. I'll probably start up again after the kids are out of the house in 6 years or so, just not enough time now to enjoy it.
Interesting read and excellent pictures even if you did have to look at them from a different angle.
Good Luck with the other hobby
Awesome, I love saltwater tanks.

Nice
I have a freshwater tank 56 gals. Its nice and not too difficult to maintain. My son has a cube saltwater tank almost identical to the pics you posted. He even has a shrimp that looks like the one in your pic. He has live coral and stuff. Nice setup and hope you enjoy it.

Nice. Had freshwater tanks for years, but gave them up. Would like to get one again someday.
I just set up this 40 gallon. I had a 240 gallon about a decade ago and lost it in a flood. Buying corals is like buying baits... so many colors.
