    Water Pump Question

I have a 2015 Sho 225 and just replaced the impeller, plastic housing and all o rings. When I went to fire it up no water came out. I did use a nose cone to apply water. What did I do wrong or miss? I made sure impeller turned same direction as before.

Did the water cover the side water inlets? If not it may have been sucking air through those.

Yea i thought I had nose cone covering both inlets pretty good. One thing I remember didnt have water flow at fullest. Gonna try again today after work. Was also told by a shop that the SHO's sometimes don't work well with nose cone. TO put lower unit in a container full of water is better. Gonna try that too if first option doesn't work.

If you're not far from a lake it may be easier to just pull it to the ramp and back it down in the water with it still on the trailer to see if it pumps.
If you don't get the water high enough on the lower in the container the pump won't prime.

Got it working yesterday. Ran nose cone first but didn't pee. So I ran some water into the flush hose then hooked up the nose cone. Worked like it should.

That is what I do with my HPDI as well. Works like a charm having water going in both inlets at once.

And the water level has to be above the pump in a tank. CJ
