    Bass on SI

Anyone have any images of bass on SI. I will take any pictures but specifically with the range set to 40-50 feet would be awesome.

    Thanks

Perfect. Thanks for the pictures. The ones in the first picture must be huge? Im not talking about their shadows. Those white marks are huge. Or was it the fact that you were only going 1mph that distorted the picture?

Yes the fish are exaggerated some due to the relationship of Chart Speed and GPS Speed. BUT most of them were 5# class bass. The large shadows just indicates they were not on the bottom.

Image #4 in 30.5 ft of water interpretation?

The bass on the left side of the screen are very close to being underneath the boat? And the brush on the right side is almost under the boat? And the fish are just off the edge of the brush?

Pretty much, but any subject directly under the transducer is displayed on both sides.
This is the tree on brush pile in the second picture in post #3:

Thanks for the extra tip and picture, I did not know that.

Another question same picture as before 30.5 ft water. I see streaks on the left side, is that the fish swimming fast ? Maybe the boat spooked them for a second and then they slowed back down as you passed them?

    Appreciate your patience.

Yep that is what was going on with those bass.
You have to realize that they are recorded as the distance from the transducer, not the depth. They were probably on or near the surface and got spooked by the boat.

The double center white line is the transducer position, it "looks" left and right. The newest data is at the top of the view and oldest history is at the bottom.
The dark area between the center line and colored bottom is the water column. Same black area above the bottom in the Down Imaging view.

Yes .... unless you increase the range. Getting the range right for what you are wanting to see is one of the other adjustements that requires a little playing with.
