    400 Series Boats!

The 400 series Ranger produced some of the best fishing platforms of all time. I want to see what 400 series boats some of you guys have and how you've got them rigged. (I'm bored, its cold in Minnesota this time of year.)
If anyone has any photos of there 400 series boats post them up!

    I'll start with mine.

I had a 482v. Great boat. Rod lockers were short so I cut the ends out. I sold it to a buddy and he’s still running it. Mine was a promo boat that originally owned by hank Parker. That’s what I was told. When I removed bench seat to service fuel sender it had Parker written across back I’d seat.

if it was 490 series I’d probably still have it.

I agree. The 400's are great. I had a 492VS and now a 521VX. If the 492 had the center storage of the 521 I'd still have it. Now my son and neighbors son have a 91' 482V.

I have a 1995 481v that’s pristine. I’m the second owner and the original owner is my buddies dad so it’s been in good hands. Its ridiculous how nice this Ranger is. if this motor ever goes, I’ll just repower

I have 487 with the deck extension and it has been a great boat so good that I would also consider repowering it instead of getting a new one some day.

I think they're similar. The 521 is better in the rough stuff. I also have it loaded heavier so that may be part of it.

I've owned a couple of 481V's. Great hull. I would love to get my hands on a good 487VS.

Well, if i ever decide to get rid of mine, I can let you know. I've been toying with repowering it the past few years but that 200 HPDI has been bullet proof (knock on wood)...
