    Fortrex 101 vs 112

I just purchased a Fortrex 101 from a fellow BBC member and had one question. Other than a change to the motor that upped the thrust from 101 to 112, were any other changes made that would differentiate the 101 from the 112?

The 101 only required a 50 amp breaker. The 112 required a 60 amp breaker.

I thought the 112 has a larger diameter motor, never measured it but it does look bigger to me.

The 112 most definitely has a larger diameter motor. Yes, I have owned both.

Thanks for the replies! Good to know about the breaker size being different, since I'm not sure what I have in the boat right now and might not need to upgrade it.

I had a 50 amp fuse panel on the boat that I'm replacing with a 60 amp breaker for the Ultrex. Wish I would have thought to give it to you, you're welcome to it if you need it.

Thanks Landon! I'll let you know if I need it. I haven't had a chance to look at the wiring in my boat, so I'm just not sure what I already have in there for a fuse or breaker for the trolling motor. I'd assume that Ranger would have put one in when the boat was new, but I'm not sure what the amps are on it to know if I need to replace it with something bigger.
