Side scan w/LSS-2 and HDS12 Gen3

My LSS-2 is mounted to the jackplate. Down image seems to be good and side image is usually good, but I was out today and drove by a tree top that I could see sticking up out of the water (20’ of water). The tree never showed up on the side image. Drive by it 3-4 times and nothing. Showed the rocks on the bottom but no tree. Anyone have any idea why? Pretty much useless if you can’t drive and scan for brush out to the sides of the boat.

Wish I’d of got a screen shot but I didn’t think about it during my frustration. Gonna be atleast a few days before I’m back on the water to do that.

Maybe it's flipped (the image) and the rocks were on the other side of the boat?

Yea thought about that but it is flipped correctly. Mounted with wire to the rear of the transducer so I have it flipped to account for that on the menu. Don’t know if it has anything to do with it but fish reveal has quit working on the down scan as well.
