    250 SHO question

Changing spark plugs on my 2011 VF250 I noticed #4 had this rubber grommet attached to the top of the plug. When I removed the coil it was on the plug. It was the only cylinder to have such a thing. Seemed to prevent the coil from making good contact as the rest did not have this. Is this suppose to be there or should I leave it off.
all comments welcome!! Thanks for the input.

Make sure it's not part of the coil boot.

It’s not, the other 5 did not have this attached.

It's not the rubber insert out of your spark plug socket is it?

Doesn’t appear to be, no other spark plug boot had this in it. It will go inside the boot, but not without effort. It also is very visible and no other boot had this in it that I could see.

As Brianmoore25 said, I also think it's the insert from your socket. I checked and there is one in my spark plug socket. It sometimes get stuck to the spark plug.

Wrong, they are saying it came from your socket. Do not put it on your spark plug! It goes inside your socket so it wont damage the spark plug when removing/installing plugs.
