    Solix Sharpness Setting

The product manual for Solix on page 210 for side imaging references the sharpness setting. Was this option removed or replaced?

I have the first generation SOLIX SI and it has the Sharpness setting. It's the next item under Sonar Colors.
BUT to have the extra customizable settings you have to be using the User Mode Custom setting

I am familiar with its function, but I don't use it.

I will use sharpness at times on 455 kHz, not so much on mega.

I'm not Wayne but I have done a lot of "playing around" with the sharpness settings in DI & SI. The value really depends on what you are trying to "bring out". Setting a Low or Medium sharpness does a good job of highlighting things in the water column but, for me, it makes the structure and bottom too grainy. I prefer the more smooth appearance without any sharpness setting. I personally haven't really found a use for the "High" sharpness as it is really grainy.
