    Tracker stereo wiring

I have a question for you wiring Gurus. I have a 2019 Tracker Proguide 175 WT boat. It has the stock Boss stereo which works fine but you have to have the key on for it to operate.
I want to hook it up so it will run without the key on. I have done a ton of stereo installs but this one has me baffled I took the yellow with the red stripe wire and attached it to a hot all the time post on the fuse block but that didn't work and I jumped the memory wire with the yellow wire and that didn't work either.
My question to you guys is am I missing something. If this were a car you should be able to take these two wires and hook them to a hot all the time wire and it should work, any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Santajim

Different boat and radio but on someone's advice (to eliminate chart interference from radio) i ran new power and ground wires from radio directly to the battery so it has nothing to do with the key or boat fuse block.

    1. Most aftermarket unit are wired in the following way, I have never seen one with a yellow/red stripe
    2. Check the chassis of the unit as most do have diagram on them
    3. Power Wires
      1. Constant 12V / Memory Keep Alive — yellow
      2. Accessory — red
      3. Dimmer/illumination — orange w/white stripe

    4. Ground Wires
      1. Ground — black

    5. Speakers
      1. Right front speaker(+) — gray
      2. Right front speaker(-) — gray w/black stripe
      3. Left front speaker(+) — white
      4. Left front speaker(-) — white w/black stripe
      5. Right rear speaker(+) — purple
      6. Right rear speaker(-) — purple w/black stripe
      7. Left rear speaker(+) — green
    Thank You Leon Pugh

Thanks for the replies. I went to Tracker website and printed out the wiring diagram for the boat. The wires for the stereo come out of the head unit yellow with an inline fuse then goes into a block and comes out of the block with yellow/red strip and eventually goes to the ignition switch.
I think I am going to try what McQuaig suggested.
