Helix 10 mega DI G3N Tolling motor transducer?

I have a Helix 10 Mega DI unit that has a transom mount transducer. Should I trade it into to hummingbird through their program or can I purchase an adapter to mount it to the trolling motor? Thanks.

The trolling motor mount is all you need. The transom and trolling motor transducers are the same, just the included mount is different.

The transducer exchange program involves an unused transducer and unopened transom mount package. You can exhange the transducer for a model that is different than the included transom version. Sometimes it is a straight swap plus shipping and sometimes it is a cost difference between the two models plus shipping. That is handled through Humminbird Customer Service.

IF you posted the whole correct model name and have the Ultrex with US2, you don't need to exchange the transducer, you just need the Minnkota US2 adapter

The Humminbird mount is a plastic block and the Transducer Shield and Saver is made of aircraft aluminum. The potential stuff you crash your trolling motor into should decide which is best for you.
