    Raptis tire/ fiberglass fender upgrade

Hello. I’m looking for feedback for those that went with the 18” raptis tire/fender upgrade on your trailer. It sure looks nice but how is the towing experience? I was originally looking at the standard steel fender/ smaller tire. I plan to keep this next boat for several years. Thanks

I know two different people who had to replace a fiberglass fender because a blown-out tire ripped apart the fender. I believe they said it was around $800 to replace the fender. I've seen some mangled steel fenders also but at least you can bend/hammer them back into shape and keep driving if you need to.

    My experience.

Lost a tire on ski boat, no real damage to steel fender. Son lost a tire on trailer with fiber glass fenders, while not totally destroyed, a lot of fiberglass work required to repair.
