    Trailer brake cable

    How do I release the emergency brake on my Cougar trailer? I forgot to unhook it and pulled the cable out.

    That one is activated and releasing the tab under the tongue should loosen it some. We would tow it a few blocks and check the brake pads and see if they are engaged. Then depress the tab again. We placed a warning label on the tongue of all 2020 models to inform owners to depress the tab every instance of towing. You never know when the cable is stepped on and engages the E brakes.
