3 year, 300 Hour Engine check?

I have a E150HGLABH (2017), this is the 3rd year I will be running it.

Engine has around 100 hours now.

What do they do for the 3 year, 300 hour maintenance?

Does it have to be done by the dealer or can I do it myself?

Will it void the warranty if I do the work myself?

    thanks
    Ed

If still under warranty, you can do the service yourself or have someone else do it but you would have to keep a log of everything done plus receipts for any parts or lubes used. Remember that any problems arising from forgotten, missed, or incorrectly performed services are not covered by warranty.

What some folks do is what they are comfortable with then have the dealer do the rest, such as do the computer diagnostics, print out a report, and check for any updates or service bulletins that may apply.

Sounds good, thanks for the Info

According to my owners manuel the 3 year, 300 hour maintenance consists of:

    Spark Plugs
    Lower Unit oil
    Gas filter
    Thermostats
    Waterpump
Grease fittings , starter bendix, check trim fluid level
Look over engine for chaffed wires, hoses & loose bolts

    Am I missing anything?

VST filter clean or replace, exhaust back pressure probe clean or replace. I am sure there are more items.

Not just the engine but the boat and trailer should be inspected along with servicing the battery connections, battery testing, inspecting steering components, checking for contaminated or low hydraulic steering fluid, bilge pumps, lights, radio, safety gear, etc. Much of the inspection stuff should actually be done at least annually.

Don't forget to have the dealer check for stored service error codes and any updates and bulletins. If that is not done, and an uncorrected problem causes an issue, warranty could be denied due to neglect on the owners part.

I’ve had two local dealers quote me $1100-1200 for the service.

That is what I was quoted on my 250 ($1,200) about 5 years ago. A buddy had his 200 e-tech serviced for $450 at another shop.

I paid 900 this past summer for the standard 3 year/300 hour service. But I did get a free Evinrude hat out of it after asking for it. Hi Joe !
