I have a new XRS with 300r and power poles at 89. Supposed to try a 1.75 gear in about 2 weeks to see if it will get into the low to mid 90's like the other florida XRS's with 1.75's and 300R.
I am still at about 10hours.

Pretty sure the Florida 100mph 21 foot Bullet is a 21XRD and not a XRS?

I did get to run a 1.75 ratio with a 31max5st. My 1.60 with 27max5st ran 91.6 and 1.75 with 31max5st ran 92.6. 1.75, was little better on hole shot and midrange....1.75 reached top speed in shorter distance. Boat was full of fuel and heavy tackle load one person with power poles and 50 pounds of ballast in passenger rear storage. That was also with a 15 inch solix on front deck (LOL). Hydraulic plate 14inch and top end at 2 inches above pad. Holeshot and acceleration is way better on bravo than max 5. Just more slippage. Hope this info helps. Jason Caldwell was the friend that helped me and drove the boat at the over 90 speeds. I was happy with 87 to 89 when I drove it. I am soon to be 65 and need some more seat time. I still only have less than 15 hours on motor.

All I can tell you is with 27 pitch and 1.60 it was not on the limiter. With the 31 pitch and 1.75 Jason keep going up with engine height till it hit the limiter trying to get more mph.
When I drive it so far I can't focus on tach over 87 to tell what the rpm is. I had speedo mounted on left side of wheel and it is hard to read.
When I first ran the boat I had a 29 max5 and it ran 89.5 up river at 5750. That was the one day water conditions allowed me to focus on the tach. The 29 labored bad to get on plane, compared to what I was used to in 20ft Bullets and Allisons with 2.5's.
