Well, I would have thought someone would have a thought on bringing front deck on my 20xd back even with drivers side lid. Maybe not.

Man I have never seen it myself over the past 25 years. But I’m like you I thought someone may have done it to get a few more square feet of deck space.

How would you gain access to the center storage compartment???... I suspect that's why... Too much storage room to sacrifice for a few square feet of deck space that you'll rarely use... Dan

Well, XRD isn’t an option, I’ll tinker around an see what I come up with. The middle compartment will just become a bigger place to keep a few more trays.
I thought I might get some ideas from some fellas on here to kickstart my thoughts.

That would definitely make for more deck area. Be nice. That’s what always griped me about the older boats, especially 80’s boats. They figured the need for more floor space over deck space. CRAZY!!! My 1986 Stratos sucked bad on front deck space!

eh200o, you answered your own question. Pull the carpet, pull the step, add extension and reinstall step and new carpet. Post pics during install. Im sure there are plenty that would like to see the process.

That looks really good,I was thinking about something very similar to that,I always thought their was a lot of wasted area in floor space. That’s not where you spend most of your time while in the boat.

Look at a Stroker front deck. It wouldn’t be hard to make a insert that comes in and out just like what comes on a Stroker.

I’ve never seen a stroker in person, but I like the idea of being able to remove it.

mall you have to do it open both rod boxes and lift it out. When the rain lets up in the next few days I’ll pull my boat out and take a couple pictures. Simple to make out of aluminum and very sturdy

Thanks, I’d like to see all you can get. Can’t seem to find any on line. All of the older pics have been deleted from the threads.

You have the extra seat base in floor could use that to lock in place and not blow
    Out at speed.
