    Lexington red slaw

    Posted this in the other post but thought I would repost here for others to see

    Lexington Red Slaw
    1 Medium head of cabbage, cored and finely chopped
    2/3 cup ketchup
    1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 tsp salt 2 tsp ground black pepper
    2 tsp hot sauce (or more to taste)
    In large bowl whisk together ingredients and pour over cabbage. Stir and chill. Stir again in 30 minutes

    There’s only 2 things I really won’t eat and slaw is one of them. I’m from nc and people think you should eat slaw with every meal.

    going to give this a try tonight, thanks for the recipe it is appreciated. If you want to try a different ind of slaw - this one is good by itself and even better on fish tacos

    I would probably eat that kind of slaw but the kind they make around here is gross.

    Thats what sounds good, slaw on a hot dog with sauce. As long as they dont put hoarse radish in it

    I love a good slaw especially if it has a little crunch..I've been avoiding salads since the 10lbs of potato, Hawaiian etc salads that I binged on during the Holidays. Thanks for posting .. BBC feel free to pm me or post your Cole slaw riceipes..

    I’ll try that tomorrow. Cabbage is good! Slaw, egg rolls, golabki? And fresh sauerkraut is the best!

    I like slaw but I have determined that there are 2 kinds
    1- Really good slaw
    2- Slaw that sucks.
