    Software Upgrade--Solix 12's

    I'm planning to upgrade the operating software on my console and bow SOLIX units this weekend.
    I will back up the waypoints on both units, but my question is, once the software is uploaded from the chip,
    should I then reset both units back to factory defaults, and then go through each menu to reset preferences?

    The software will Restore Defaults whether you follow the installation instructions or not.

    Save your settings and you won't have to re-do all of them when you re-install them.
