    End of an Era Today

Well after 19 seasons in my ‘98 TR-18 I traded her in today. Pretty sad as she always treated me well and I truly loved it, took three years to talk myself in to doing it

On February 3 I’m joining the Vexus revolution and picking up my new AVX1880 at the factory. It’ll probably be my last boat since I turn 60 in March.

Enjoy your new rig! Those colors look very similar to my 2000 TR20. They are nice boats!

I bought a TR 18 brand new with a johnson fast strike. Caught a bunch of bass out of that boat. What a fun boat to drive! Good luck with the Vexus.

Would you mind to elaborate on why you feel this way? I’m looking at a 2019 Triton 189trx.

here’s another example that was posted by ch today in response to thread linked above:

“I was treated just the opposite...I took my ‘17 20txr in for a crack that was no more than 1” long and asked if they could have it repaired. Got a call that they were replacing my boat. I don’t know what caused the crack, but they could have tried gettin away with and chancing a repair cause that’s all I was asking for, but they replaced it with ‘19 model. I have NO complaints with triton. I for one would say they stand behind what they build. My ‘17 had no leaks and my ‘19 has no leaks either. Seriously considering goin to 21txr sometime this year.”

It is my understanding that Triton is picking that customers boat up to see what is going on with it. The biggest problem has been his engine which Triton will need to get involved with Mercury.
