Chirp with 2D transducer?

Can a 2D transducer utilize the chirp technology if the unit is capable of doing so (ie. Live, Carbons, Gen 3, etc.)?

Or do you need another transducer?

Yes, any transducer can be chirped as it is the sonar that sets the frequency, not the transducer. The quality on that chirp sweep is a whole other discussion. :)
