    Retracting Pegboard Storage

This is pretty simple and may have limited value but thought I would post it.
I have been storing my bulk spinner and buzz baits in plastic trays but tended to lose track of them. I wanted to put them on pegboard but did not have any wall space. I came up with the idea of mounting the pegboard on drawer slides attached to sides of the storage towers where my bulk lures and rods are stored.
I put another pegboard on the other end of the tower for buzz baits.

Pretty simple but serves a good purpose.

    Good idea.

You could even expand that idea by putting multiple pegboards side by side. Just pull out the one you want and the rest stay hidden and bunched together. I've seen file folder setups similar to that in doctor offices.

The rod holder holds 24 rods in a 3 foot long space. I mounted it between 2 closet storage towers, so I had space for tackle storage but it can be mounted to the wall with a couple of L brackets. It is shallow enough in depth to be mounted along the garage wall near the door and not interfere with walking space. You can make it as long as you want.
I have a PDF with build instructions that I can email to you. Just send your email address by PM.

Good stuff Bill! Always cool to see how others solve problems like this!

I am going over head above the garage door for my rods, lots of dead space.

For those that have requested the PDF for the rod storage, I have a small upgrade.
The drawback to hanging the rod eyes on a pin is that the micro guides will not fit over them. I have tried to come up with a cost effective solution for some time and finally hit on it.
This roller door latch does the trick. I did have to grind out a radius in the mounting portion to allow the rod to move forward enough. As you see in the pic, I mounted it at the end of the rod slot.
I only bought 4 because I only have 4 rods with micro guides and they are $1.00 each at Lowe’s. Since this works equally well on rods with regular guides, you can add as many as you want.
I will add this to the PDF so it will be included in all future mail outs.
Edit: you can buy these roller door latches on Amazon. $11.00 for 20 pcs.

I like your idea. However, you should be aware, that opening the pics gives a third party access to Facebook! Not your fault, but some one is using your site for scammers of winning a super vacation. Unless you are using FB,as a browser. If so...that's a bad idea. I don't use FB for anything. I have been hacked by using that platform. Maybe look into it.

Thanks for the heads up. I don’t use Facebook or any other social media, do not have any accounts.
Are you referring to the pics in the post? I use “PostImage” for these, if that Is the problem, I need to change. I have to use it to reduce the size of iPhone pics to fit the forum requirements. Please let me know If this is the problem and any suggestion for PostImage replacement is appreciated.
