Family vacation on Champlain

The family wants to stay on Champlain this year for vacation so looking for ideas on what area would be best to stay on for fishing and how is late July early August for fishing? We normally rent a place on the lake through VRBO or AirBnB but open to suggestions of other places to stay, there are 6 of us. Open to any other info that would make the vacation a success.

Northern champlain, marine village cottages. New York side. Above Plattsburgh, really nice area.

Thanks Tony C, my family owns Marine Village cottages. they are currently in the process of being remodeled. They are 3 bedroom cottages with 1 bath. hardwood floors throughout. Some lake front, and some lake view. Shoot me a message anyone looking to book a place. We have 26 cottages and around 40 RV sites. 1/2 Mile of lake frontage and a sandy beach with a water slide. 3 docks. This is all located right next to Point Au Roche Boat Launch.

Marine Village is the place to go, stayed there a few years ago. Very nice and there is a free ramp less than a mile down the road

Absolutely stay North at that time. Its phenomenal around plattsburg at that time.
