Forgot to say I didn't check the pressure at the vst I couldn't find a tester with a small enough fitting but he replaced his with one of the 50 dollar after market pump and it is still working three years later so I will give it a try

I will definitely post after I get it figured out I have good fire and and good compression so I would think it has to be fuel I changed both lp pumps and I have 1000 psi when running so hopefully the pump in the vst is my problem one thing about it I know a lot about a hpdi now lol it's probably the easiest motor I have ever rebuilt

No go with the new pump but I think the problem is fixing to show itself I just ran it on the hose and all port side cylinders are not working properly I'm getting fuel and fire but when I pull the plug wires off 2 4 or 6 it makes no difference I swaped the plugs and still the same I swapped injector drivers still the same I'm thinking crank position sensor or computer anyone have any ideas

What were the condition of the reed valves?
We're all the filters replaced including the secret one? It runs good on the muffs. Did you replace the thermostats? While in the water if you trim up the motor so the exhaust is above the water does it idle normal?

Reeds look brand new yes all filters and basket filters changed no trash in any of them vst was spotless it was running fine on the trailer but now it's getting worse and will not idle on the trailer but it's only running on 3cylinders now 2 4 and 6 are getting fuel and fire but when I pull the wires off it makes no difference so it has to be firing at the wrong time on 2 4 and 6

Have a look up your exhaust tuner ...may have blockage from old piston or other debris. I have had 1 with that code 22 and ended up replacing ECU to fix problem.Good luck keep us posted on what you find .

Looks like its narrowed down to tuner or ECU, Im thinking the tuner and back pressure. Been wrong many times before.

Tuner would be cheaper with my luck it's the 1400 ecu hopefully someone will chime in on if just the port side of the tuner can stop up

Could you send it to Simmons or Hydro tech and have them check it out, i would offer mine if you were not so far off, but i think we have the same problem. Maybe Jethro i mean yammy 911 will chime in or maybe call Wayne at Hydro Tech for more insight.

I did talk to hydro they were a big help he gave me a few numbers that will work on my motor and I got lucky and found one at a marine dealer on Ebay so I will know as soon as it gets here

Tried the ecu still the same I did change the port side plugs and it will idle in the water as long as it is 1400 rpm or higher if I have it at 700 to 900 it will only idle on the hose still I think the cheap Amazon vst pump can't handle the 300 so I have a Yamaha pump on the way
