Garmin update

I finished the installation of the Garmin force trolling motor and echo map plus 93 and live scope I've got the active captain app and it says that I have a update I'm not real good with technology I'm just a semi retired concrete pump operator my question is do I need to get a SD card or just follow the instructions on the active captain thanks for your help

Have you synced/setup all product with the AC app on your phone??

So far all I've done is turned on and went to the wifi and set up a password and I called Garmin to register all the items

You'll need a SD card for all functions to work on the Echomap plus 93sv.

So I just put a empty SD card in the spot where it goes or do I need to do something with it before I put it in

When you install the card it will ask if you want to format it.

Yes there is a guy who has Garmin and I've pumped concrete for him and is a good guy

I like you am somewhat technology challenged but I updated my units last week after I installed them. As noted above do not go higher than a 32 GB card. It will not accept a higher GB. Don't ask me how I know that...….. Insert the empty card in your card slot and follow the instructions on the screen of your graph. It truly is the easiest update of any sort I've ever done. It probably took mine about 10 min or so to update. Just be sure not to rush it, don't turn the unit off during the update. You will get prompts on what to do as well after the update. Don't worry embrace the technology as your mind is about to be blown with Livescope.
