bilge work, ionics and remote battery charger

After reading the posts about cleaning and painting bilge and getting an additional 33 lbs off the boat I figured why not, its cold outside, snowing and not going to get to the lake unless I drive south for about 6 hrs. figured I may as well get to work. Shout out to drew tick on the ionics batteries and battery trays that I picked up back in May 2019 and Mike Express for the details on the battery charger relocation. Applicable links are below.

Area wasn't to dirty to begin with, but scrubbed it out with some simple green, rinsed then rinsed everything again with isopropyl alcohol. let everything get good and dry, filled any unused holes with marine tex and then it took all of 25 minutes to cover with the bilgekote paint. Stuff is very thin and covers a lot of area, and will run on you. I used maybe 1/3 of the can to cover those areas in the pictures. and had to put a heat lamp in the area since it was only 60 degrees in the garage (was 25 outside and snowing).

cool looks easier to clean, I wash mine down a lot but hard to keep PP pump area clean, funny they never need fluid but always look like they leaking, I few drops will make a mess but that should wash up nice.

That looks good. I have read and seen that the light colors and a thick coat, helps clean up, you can see how dirty it is.
