No person shall take in any one day more than the following bag limits of freshwater game fish:

    • 5 Black bass (including largemouth, Suwannee, spotted, Choctaw and shoal bass, individually or in total), only one of which may be 16 inches or longer in total length. There is no minimum length limit for largemouth bass.

    1. 15 and 24 inches

Black bass between 15 and 24 inches in total length must be released immediately. Black bass daily bag limit is 3 only one of which may be 24 inches in total length or longer Look at the map of Lake Kissimmee, FL and then enlarge the lake in the lower left corner to see a good contour map of Lake Walk-in-Water.

There is no minimum by the state...The state actually removed the 12 inch min requirement for catch and keep. Though the tournaments still maintain 12 inches as a minimum. The permit allows for the slot limit and more than one over 24 inches to be brought to the scales and weighed in then released

They have been issuing the permits for many years.

Good ol florida bass, looks like they are giving them anglers a case of lock jaw. Kissimmee/Toho usually gives up 30+ lbs during tourneys.

FWC cut them a tournament waver , 5 fish 12" or larger. Co-anglers could weigh in 3.

I like that the leading co-angler is from Ontario. How cool to drive away from the winter weather in Canada to sunny Florida and then catch a nice bag of fish and getting to lead a BASS Open tournament.

Jason Christy was the first person to walk across the stage , weighed in - 14 oz.

Jason Christie weighed in about 45 min later with 18.15 lbs.

Will the real slim shady please stand up !?!

These above average temps the last couple weeks have sent these fish for a loop. The sun was blazing today , made it tough for a lot of folks.

I don't see anyone on any of the tours fishing with beetle spins and crappie jigs. So what's your point?

Not really, i'm not bagging on BASS for it. I'm fine with any tour weighing what ever size they see fit.
