I met a nice fellow the other day while on the water. He was fishing out of a kayak and said he is fishing a tournament where they post total inches of bass or something or other. Anyway, never heard of this. Anyone have some insight?

Yes kayak trails have authorized board individuals assigned number which is written on hand. They take a pic of fish on board with there number. Pretty popular trail
