    Making the switch.

I'm planning what I need to make the switch. If you guys in the know don't mind can you add or subtract from my list?

    2 times ECHOMAP™ UHD 93sv with GT54UHD-TM Transducer
    1 time Panoptix LiveScope™ System
1 time Marine Network Cable (20 feet)

    Currently running hds gen 3.
    Thanks Mike

Console unit: the GT54 will need to be mounted as a skimmer (down by pad) to get 2d while on plane. If that is not an option, then may think about getting a 2d as a shoot thru and a imaging ducer only on transom.

If you fish offshore then you would need the steady cast heading sensor along with the nema network. If you already have a Lowrance Point 1 and nmea network, it will work on the Garmin units.

LiveScope system: depending where you install it, you may need either the ducer extenions cable or an additional marine network cable to extend the existing network cable.

Since the 93's only have 1 network port, you will need the GMS 10 network port expander, to have all units sharing data since the LS would be taking up a port on the bow unit.

Add another marine network cable for other unit to connect to GMS10.

For now that's all i can think of.

Well that's always up to a debate. The GT34 UHD ducer can connect to the UHD unit but you would still need the 2d. That would be the GT8 or GT15. There are other side/clear vu ducers like the GT30.

For my console unit, i have the GT15 (in hull) with GT30 mounted to jackplate.

Here is my opinion on the GT34: when it came out, i had it with my 93+. Was not please at all with the sidevu, it just didnt have the range i was looking for. Down vu was great. I ended up selling it and getting the GT30. I'm more than happy with it. With the GT34, it only worked on 1200 kHz side. The GT54 does 455 and 1200 for side. At this point i'll stick with my GT30 unless they come out with something that is ALOT better on the UHD side of things.
