    Lithium batteries

Looking at running lithium batteries in the boat, anyone have any experience with them? Seems to be a variety of brands

Just a note on Lithium for a Yamaha motor you need to make sure the battery is set up for that motor. Lithium Pro will work with you on getting the right setup.

Battle Born Batteries have great reviews. Will Prowse tore one down and posted a vid on his You Tube Channel.

If I were to buy an off the shelf battery, this is what I would use. 2 12V 100 ah Lifepo4's. Others are available at varying prices, but i'd really want to know the quality of the build and the type of cells.
I just picked up 5 Toshiba 24v 20ah Lithium Titanate packs for an in parallel total of 100ah. Also ordered 5 Daly 80amp BMS's for them.
I should have about 900 into this when all said and done.
I got my cells from https://batteryhookup.com They have varying inventory so you have to know what you want and check often. Great folks to deal with.
I'm not affiliated with any of these folks, and please educate yourself before taking on a battery diy project as there are risks

Been running 3- 50 AH Ionic lithium batteries with a 36 volt Ultrex for 6 months now and have nothing but good to say about them.
I doubt you will find a better setup for the price.

Couldn’t agree more. Great warranty and low pricing. Also one of the longest running lithium companies in the marine market.

I bought 2 50am ionics through drew tick and have been using them for a couple months now. Nothing but good to say about them and the service. Not to mention the price tag. I haven’t been able to run them down in a day to under 75 percent.

I would love to see that Solar guy do a capacity test and tear down on the 100Ah Ionics Lithium battery.

Drewtick send him one to test, if they are being put together right it will be the best advertisement you could ever get!

Depends on your fishing habits....seems most can get away with 50ah but for those that fish heavy wind/current usually will need 100ah.......

I dont have them but have the 80 Ultrex and to this day i have never ran down a set of regular set of batteries so if i were to buy Li batteries i would get the 50ah set....

24V I would go with 100AH batteries if you fish tournaments or long days in windy or heavy current situations.
