Truth be told, that is a smart move. As someone who was born here, I have been thinking about moving out of state, to somewhere less crowded.

Being born and raised in Florida in 1970, population approx. 10 million then and now 23million,I've seen lots of changes.

People are coming no matter what, but I'd prefer fisherman, hunters and outdoor minded folks, they are generally better caretakers of the environment.

My feelings are strong about the Florida environment and keeping it in the best shape possible.

The best way I can explain others visceral reactions to anybody moving here and mine included, is best explained by our experience as Native's, and seeing the decades of mismanagement of our waterways and water quality decline etc. THE SPRAYING IS OUT OF CONTROL and for NO REAL REASON!!!!!

For the individuals looking to move here these are links below may help understand, these are more environmental than sport fishing related:

Ever since 1975, when I was 5 or so I've been on the water and enjoying the Florida's waters, fishing exploring and over the years watch it get trampled on and miss used.

I've seen it go from crystal clear waters to Pee Green and freshwater intrusion into Stuart and Port Charlotte estuaries from Okeechobee due to holding water then releasing and killing areas of Florida Bay because not enough freshwater.

I may not have all my written facts correct, that's why I added the links.

I love the State of Florida and I plan on living the remainder of my life out here and will fight for its preservation.

IMHO anybody can come just beware there are people who care about Florida and its environment, there delivery may not be for the weak, but I understand fully where they and I are coming from.
