TM Recommendation with GPS position - 17' bass boat

I plan to buy a new trolling motor for my 16.5' Procraft bass boat. It currently has an old Bill Dance 36lb that moves the boat OK on speed 3. I'm thinking of going to a 80lb or so model that has GPS to hold a position. I have two 12v batteries so I can go with 12 or 24v. A shorter shaft is good as this is not a large boat. I fish impoundments in central Alabama and if the wind is blowing too hard I hide or just don't go fishing. I am not brand loyal but I am looking for a lower end unit with these features.

I did a search but did not find anything and all help is appreciated.

A 24v and 80# thrust will be more than enough for your boat.

if you want good GPS anchoring and other GPS features and you are not worried about any sort of integration with your other electronics or needing a foot pedal, the most cost effective option would probably be a Motorguide Xi3 with Pinpoint GPS.

You can find the new for well under $1k.

We have some lakes here in Missouri that are horse power limited, but great fishing lakes. A small boat is a must.

I run an Ultrex 80 on a 16' aluminum boat. Probably a little over kill, but never a problem.

I can go almost 4 MPH on the trolling motor wide open.

If budget will allow, you'll never regret it.

Don't need integration with electronics but I do want a foot pedal.

    Thanks.

That is more than I want to spend but I may have to... also considering a used motor from someone upgrading.
    Thanks
