Yes. Create a custom combo screen...Live Scope on one side and 2D on the other.

Yes, but there would be no reason..Live scope is live...2D is in the past.

I think it may depend on style of fishing or type of fish your chasing. I was standing in the Garmin booth at a fishing show last week and in the 10-15 minutes I was there I over heard (2) different guys asking to be showed how to create a split screen Live Scope and 2D.

I know on occasion while crappie fishing I will troll over what looks like a rock or hump on bottom only to see a very large fish take off as I get close to or over the fish. I assume 2D may give better target separation for fish laying on bottom.

I think 2D sonar covers a large portion of the cone shape under the transducer, which LiveScope is missing as it only covers a slice (like a slice of watermelon).

Want to make sure I'm directly over a brush pile.
    I currently use 200mhz 2d for that

IMO, history is very important. With history, you don't need to be "glued" to the screen to make sure you don't miss something.

Assuming spot locked/power poled to vertical fish brush piles for either crappie or bass...my thinking is Live Scope would be better suited for this...showing not only placement of brush/boat but also lure presentation and fish activity. This said, I only have a 9" screen and if vertical fishing and given the choice...I'd rather see "more" live scope.
