I like a Powell Max 702cb glass for 1/4oz, 703cb glass for 1/2oz, 705cb glass for 3/4oz and 706cb glass for 1oz. All of these rods have worked great for squarebills and lipless.
Lews Fritz perfect crank...7' MH and the 7'6" MH are nice hybrid rods and under $100. Heard good things about the BPS Crankin Sticks, and think St. Croix?... has a $100'sh model crank rods that are talked well about.
What are you going to throw on it? If deep diving then you need other suggestions.
You should know that in bee tending if you don't shut your trap the bees will get out.
I ended up getting a launcher and am going to change one of my other crankbait setups over
