Anyone added a main power toggle switch?

My '06 519VX did not come with any type of switch on the panel that would be considered a "main power" switch. I would like to place a On/Off toggle power switch between the batteries and the fuse panel. I am looking for it to be as "factory" as possible. Anyone know where to find a main power switch that would be labeled as such to maintain a factory look?

    Thanks,
    Brian

I added a battery switch. I got mine at Cabelas. They have a couple different ones. One is single switch and one is a multiple switch for more than one battery kinda like what is on the new boats.

My Elcheapo 02 Ranger and 03 Champion both came with switchable circuit breakers. I'd be really surprised yours doesn't. Both are located in the rear compartments.

You definitely want to use a combo switch/breaker. If you use just a breaker, they are not designed to “thrown” regularly and will eventually fail. Blue Sea makes good ones and come in any amperage rating you desire.

True, but I've had 1 needing to be replaced in 20 years. Just throw the breaker!
Much easier to find a replacement breaker than a high amp switch.

I guess I was not clear enough. I have the appropriate breakers in the battery compartment, but am wishing to add a "Power" switch to the dash that will kill all power to acc and such. Just wanting it to look OEM and not like an aftermarket.

Finding a toggle switch that can switch all of your load and dash mounts is going to be difficult. Adding a battery disconnect in the rigging compartment is easy and you can order the correct switch and mounting bracket fromRanger that will function as a jump switch also.

A dash switch to handle the power load is going to be tricky. When I’ve wired my last three boats tho I’ve added the blue sea style in the battery compartment for the electronics fuse panel and I have one for the trolling motor.

Are you thinking something like this? I prefer the breaker in the rear compartment and shut mine off every time as I've had a creature(s) (kids/cats,etc.) get into my boat and turned some switches on and I was left with a dead battery and pumps running for a long time. I rather have no power to the console when not in use. Pretty sure it's a 20 to 30 amp breaker back there.

Just call Ranger and get the one they install along with the mounting bracket.

My 05' 519VX didn't have one, just the main circuit breaker which didn't disconnect the motor.
So, I added the Ranger provided disconnect.

Prefer all off except autobilge. That's how my 520L came from the factory.
Don' want the motor electronics to be connected when I'm on the charger.
