    Black Creek and Governors Creek

Was checking out my options of water to fish that weren’t too far on a weekday
are black creek and governors creek any good?

theres another boat ramp I’m told off 103rd street or timaquana that gets you to Ortega but most guys said it’s the pits to fish so I’d figure I’d ask rather that finding out the hard way

I fished Ortega for 10 years when I lived on that side of town. If you fish it weightless trick worm south on wood. Or same in the canals. I have had some great days there and zeros. Have not been in years. As mentioned, black creek can be amazing. Just pick a stretch of pads and go slow. There are a lot of current breaks, drops off, etc... It is just a place you have to fish a lot to get use to it. Over the past six years fishing it the fish are always in a different place.
