When doing updates and adjusting settings etc. do i need to unplug transducers from units or is it enough to just disable sonar transmission? Running two ultra 106sv

The easiest way would be to disable sonar.....if it wont take long to do what you need just go on about tour business......i just leave mine on but its not for hours either..... never had an issue

Don’t worry about it. If it makes you feel better, disable sonar. Plenty of people have accidentally left them run all winter with no issues.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
nothing else matters.
Thanks. I have always disabled them but wanted to make sure that was best option.
Does livescope shut itself off when out of the water?

But LiveScope does have built-in overheat protection and the xducer will shut off if reaching this threshold temperature. I only see this in the middle of the SE TX summers when air temps are over 90 and my trolling motor is in the stowed position for 15+ minutes.

Never heard of anyone burning out a transducer by it not being in water.
