    Swimbait rod suggestions

Im looking to start throwing heavier swimbaits. Have thrown up to 4 oz for a while now but some of the new ones weigh almost 7 oz. Im just trying to get some ideas on a rod that will handle those well but not be overkill.

    thanks for the help

Not sure of your budget but a Low Downs Custom White Label XH or XXH is a good choice. They are stout for sure but have a nice action to them. Not broomsticks. Maybe pose the question over on the "Swimbait Underground" site.

The Dobyn's 867 also gets some good reviews from the swimbait community.

We seem to sell a few, so must not be bad!

This isn't a custom rod per se... it's a special edition production out of our shop. Very much a west coast style swimbait rod.

The LDC White Label are not a custom. He builds up a bunch then releases them periodically. I don't think ALX will handle 7 oz.

Misread the OP... the one I listed... up to 4 oz. It's not a 7 oz bait rod. Correct.
