Im looking to start throwing heavier swimbaits. Have thrown up to 4 oz for a while now but some of the new ones weigh almost 7 oz. Im just trying to get some ideas on a rod that will handle those well but not be overkill.
thanks for the help

Not sure of your budget but a Low Downs Custom White Label XH or XXH is a good choice. They are stout for sure but have a nice action to them. Not broomsticks. Maybe pose the question over on the "Swimbait Underground" site.
Ok thanks. Ill do that
My Ldc is good...had it over 4 years and performs well the couple times I've used it

This - ALX Rods Artemis Swimbait Rod
ALX Rods entry into the hardcore swimbait market comes with this proven moderate action 7'9" swimbait rod codenamed "Artemis". Ideally suited for hardbody swimbaits up to 4oz. The Artemis features three double foot guides (10, 8, 7) and six size 6 heavy duty single foot guides plus a heavy duty size 6 top. The rod features a blend of X-Flock grip with Texilum tubing for a total handle length of 15.5" behind a Fuji TCSM reel seat.
