What year did Triton start offering the removable dual console?

I want to say 02 was the first year you could add a console and take one out. Not as easy as it is now but was available. Possibly 01 even

If you are referring to the ones that were made to “easily” come out with the flip of a few latches, then I’m almost positive this is your answer. It was at least right around this time, only giving or taking a year. You’ll be able to tell, cause the latches are visible.

i have a 2005 tr196 and the guy i got it from said it come with a dual console,but the guy he got it from (passed away) and nobody knew where it was his family sold the boat

I have a 2008 TR196 and removed the passenger console. It can be done but it was no fun for a fat old man with a marginal back. It didn't fit the "easily removable" category.

They are removable on my 2001 tr21. Mine came with a second console that i never put on. Just been sitting in my shop for 18 yrs. Lol

I removed mine on my '04 TR20X. There were 3 side bolts and 2 front bolts. There was also a little tab with 2 screws that went under the carpet I had to shimmy out. There was no glue involved. I went to the auto store and found small black plugs used for auto body work to stick back into the holes ... looks fine. The only issue I had was, over time, the console did some rubbing on the hull in front of the rod locker ... I just wet sanded out the milky areas and waxed to get most of it out.
