Hey guys I received my compartment seals from Ranger and about to head out to the garage and remove the old and install the new. Does anyone have any tips or tricks? Also, should I use an adhesive to hold the trim to the edges?

Does the seal have the U shaped channel that slides over the fiberglass flange of the compartment opening? If so, I used 3M black super weatherstrip and gasket adhesive. Just squirt some in the U channel and install on the flange...easy peasy.
You can get the 3M adhesive at all the automotive parts places.

This is the stuff Ranger uses.
if it has the u channel that fits over the edge of the fiberglass, you shouldn't need much adhesive maybe just a little black silicone where the two edges meet ,at least that is all I needed on mine haven't lost any or had any problems with them coming off.

Crankin, What do the seals look like that you got from Ranger? Are they flat or are they U shaped? Id like to order new for my 03 521 but id prefer the u channel if possible
