composite reed valves and injector service

Composite reed valves and injector service

We have reed valves for pretty much any 2 stroke, and crankcase stuffers for lots of outboards. We service fuel systems for most outboards, including injectors, vst's,fuel rails and regulators.
When is the best time to change reeds and service injectors? Before a broken reed or lean injector causes a powerhead failure.Chipped reeds and dirty injectors reduce power and efficiency, while raising emissions.

These guys are the real deal. I have used them twice. What a difference it makes to have your injectors cleaned and calibrated.

Is this a simple plug and play type of maintenance or is there special tools and equipment needed. In other words does one just remove these items, send them to you, then just bolt them back on?

How would one know if the reeds are an issue? Are there symptoms to look for without having to disassemble and do a visual?

Unfortunately,it's hard to rest for bad reeds by themselves, usually they are found after exhausting other possibilities. However, all the metal reeds on rubber cages are at high risk of breakage, and sometimes costing you a rebuild, best to change them.Post your year and model and I can give you a better idea,Chris
