    Susquehanna Tackle

Anyone going out to Susquehanna Tackle today or tomorrow for their Bass Fest ? Can'y make either day myself but it looks like they have a good line-up of speakers/seminars.

Trying to get there tomorrow...not sure if I will though. I agree, looks like a good line up of speakers.

No. Did see today that it appears they won't be at the Oaks show either.

Oaks show last year had very little Bass fishing booths. Not the same as the previous management. Wasn't worth
the price of admission, won't be going back unless it changes. Susquehanna Tackle Bass Fest was great today ( Friday ).

What ever happened to that show? We used to go down and they had everything, boats, tackle, campers and then I heard it changed.

Had heard at one time the vendor fees were astronomical. Thought that was the reason for moving out of Fort Washington before that. It looks bad, now so does Harrisburg.

The Suffern, NY show is pretty good. Depending on where you live, it might be worth the drive.

I have worked a lot of consumer shows over the years. The cost of attending is substantial when you consider the booth fees, electric and other services, hotels, meals, pro-staff helpers, etc. and some of these folks have to shut down their regular retail location to attend. They have to see a decent return to justify these expenses, and show sales have been sliding for a lot of them. The combination of big spring/fall promotions at BPS and Cabelas along with the rapid growth of internet sales have really hurt these shows. Having said that, I will still go to the Harrisburg Show because it's close to home and I still see some interesting things there.

Does the H-Burg show still have much in the way of fishing?

Looked at the exhibitor list online and no. Mostly outfitters.

There were a few fishing exhibitors in one of the hall's last year, nothing big. I've been going up to the Suffern, Ny show for the past few years...now that's a fishing show. You can walk through the entire show in a couple of hours, but it is predominantly fishing. SFT is there as are several other tackle vendors. I've been able to find some good buys there. They have also had some good presenters as well.

I think "Smallmouth Crush" is going to be at Harrisburg this year. Not sure if he is presenting or representing tackle in a booth...maybe both.

I wish it wasn't so far from me. I used to do the Sufferin NY show but it is more and more outfitters. I only go to
the WACKY WORM Spring sale now. It is 99% fishing tackle and with 15% off, I save for the year.

This and Susquhanna's big spring sale for me. Maybe take in the boat show at Oaks. Bower's usually has a few Ranger's and Nitro's to drool over.I think there were a few Skeeter's as well.Would like to see the new FXR.
