Speed capability will keep an insurance company from writing a policy, but what's funny is they will cover a Corvette, no speed limits on the water, my 2004 with a 250 would run in the mid 80's and Progressive insured it, go figure

Both of my 21-10 Bullets with 300's have been with Progressive through World Wide Marine for over 10 years now. Must be different by state?

As much as I despise Progressive I called them today. They told me they can’t insure me since my boat should not have anything over a 250 as it’s overpowered with a 300. I didn’t even bother to argue with her when she said “most vessel types like mine have a top speed or 65. This boat is too fast. I’m sor...” that was the last thing I heard before hanging up. As an insurance agent here in Ma I can not stand dealing with their claims service for my customers so I’m fine with them not insuring it. I’ll sell this boat if I have to. We don’t have State Farm here in Ma unfortunately
