You might put the original one back in, run a traditional spark test on each bank when the engine is hot after it dies. See which cylinders are out or active. You could have a combination problem - with both the module and also have a coil (cdm), or two, failing. Your original complaint (happens when engine is hot), indicates a wire coil of some sort opening or shorting to ground. If you have a cdm coil dropping out, you'll need a wiring diagram of the cdm ignition system to determine which one is causing the issue as they don't fire like traditional coils.

CDI sent me out a new module, and this one worked! Ran it on the muffs and it is smother than it has been in a few years, makes sense though with all the little repairs I have done trying to find this issue. Will take her out tomorrow and update if I have finally figured this problem out.

New module ran fine and I no longer have the power cut issue and beeping, but now I am having some sort of fueling issue at each cylinder. I know I need the injectors cleaned for sure... put the motor on the muffs and have great spark on all holes, and then I read temp of each hole at base of plug and temps were all over the place. Starboard top to bottom 152, 146, 131, Port 124, 126, 109 degrees. It has brand new thermostats in it and water stream is good.

Ok, so the cut problem caused by the TCM was 100% a thing, but I think I found a much worse problem today. Water is weeping up into the lower cowling on the port side.

so my problems were much worse that I thought, pulled the heads hoping to find a blown seal on the port side, but unfortunately found it intact and #1 super beat up. Pulled the reed cages to see if I dropped one to explain the head and piston damage, and there was a glitter factory behind the middle reeds and all petals were still solid (a couple are a little flappy).

Something to be said for early compression and leakdown test, esp. before teardown
    Thank You Leon Pugh

I did a compression test 3 holes only had 100#s, and number 6 which I can turn back and forth (guessing glitter is the wrist-pins) had 95, the bottom 2 cylinders both had 115#s.
