    2013 Evinrude E-Tech 250HO Questions

My buddy found a boat he likes but he is uncertain about the motor. It is a 2013 E-Tech. They think it has about 300 hours on it and we are currently waiting on a print out from the dealer. He's been burned on an older Evinrude fitch, which we realize are totally different motors / companies. Can anyone give any info on what we should look at or for? It has Humminbirds on it. Is there a way we can see the hours on the graph? Are these good motors? Any advice/guidance is appreciated.

No, make sure they clean the face of the CPS and as with any 8 year old outboard, the basics like compression and leak down tests, fuel pressure and vacuum checks and spark output should be done. Check the gearlube, water pressure and then water test to see if he likes the boat/engine combo. They are strong, clean and fuel efficient outboards the 3.3L G1 E-TEC.
