    Daiwa elite cranking rods

If you was starting from scratch which ones would you get in their crankbait line up? To cover all of it squarebill, lipless shallow and deep. And deep divers

Really any of the Elite Rods in the 7' to 7' 6" are good for many applications. I would just decide if you wanted a Medium or a Heavy Medium tip? I prefer the Heavy Medium.

I wouldn't hesitate going with just the Tatula either. Save a couple bucks, they're super nice for the price. Would prolly need two of them, the M one and one of the MH ones. I'm thinking shallow to medium cranks up to around 3/8 to 1/2, and one for chatterbait, spinnerbait, lipless.

i agree, I have a new Tatula and I love it , it’s a very underrated rod in my opinion and I’m a diehard Dobyns guy !

I know for a fact the 8' Ehler rod ,is little too weak for 10xd but , fine for 6xd and 8xd.

There's a few rods out there designed for the 10xd , unfortunately daiwa doesn't have one.

Dobyns Champion 806CB , Falcon Lowrider 7'9 Heavy moderate , are a couple of good ones.

This is what I would do.....I try hard to reduce the number of rod models I have to use.

    Squarebill-7/2 medium Brent.......7-0 MH
    Larger Squarebills-7/0 mh tak
    Mid depth like wiggle warts-7/0ml Randy........Replace with 7-2 M
1/2 oz lipless- 7/2 medium Brent
3/4 oz lipless-7/0 mh tak........use same rod for both classes of lipless. If you do any grass ripping trap fishing may want the MH. Open water use a M or MH.
    6xd style-7/4 mh Brent...........consolidate 6 and 8xd to one rod.
    8xd style-8/0 mh Brent
10 xd style- 8/0 mh Brent (worried if this can handle this bait well)

I don’t like a MH rod with anything that has treble hooks BUT if you’re using mono or a copoly I think your choices will be about right on.

Cody Meyer Search Bait Rod is killer for 1.5s all the way up to DT 10s. Will launch them and has a slower action.
