    Good idea!

yeah My black paint pen had dried out...so sharpie it was! Depending on how you route the strap the in/out direction can be bassackwards (no pun intended) so I decided to hopefully make it easy to remember at 0 dark thirty.

Does $135 bucks sound right for the F2? That’s what I found on Amazon.

That was the best price I found, other than a warehouse deal for $109.

That’s actually a very good price, one of the lowest I’ve seen for the 2-speed model.

I need to make Al mad so he runs me off. It would save me a few thousand a year. But dang sure fun.

Be careful with the low speed, it can break things

On my little Z118, I replaced the factory XLT (1400) with the F2 (2000) single speed...didn’t see the need for the low gear on my boat. I power load most times anyway. Bought a new OE Ranger strap with the safety strap and used it instead of the one that came with the F2...but the Ranger strap doesn’t seem as stout as the one that came with the winch.

The only problem I had with installing the F2 was being able to get the original Fulton off. For the life of me I could not jam anything like a screw driver in-between the inside bolt head to keep it from turning while taking the bottom nut off. Finally I got pissed and just tore the whole housing off of the wench and put a socket on the top bolt head. Bolt came out easy peasy. So much for keeping a back-up haha.

Mine should arrive tomorrow. Took off the OEM winch today, that went well for a 14 year old RangerTrail. The OEM strap was in good shape, but I will be needing a safety strap as the original was coming apart at the seams. Where is everyone buying their safety straps?
