Very nice for horizontal rod holders. I made vertical ones for my shop. I used 1X4. For the bottom, I used 1.250" PVC caps to sit the butt end of my rods into. You can purchase the rubber tip holders in long lengths on Amazon or Ebay. they were a little close together, so I trimmed every other one off, then stapled it to the 1X4 and attached it to the wall.
