    Spot Lock

Do the new Terrova I Pilots have the same spot lock as the Ultrex motor? The older Terrova's don't seem to stay on a spot very well.

The 2nd gen. pre BT models were referred to as friggen "AREA" lock.

Heck, my gen1 2008 unit was better than my newer gen2 2014 unit.

My current 2018 BT Terrova is, excuse the pun, spot on.

Normally reads 0-2 ft to target on remote, depending on the wind and boat scale adjustment.

So Bluetooth is the key whether it's a an Ultrex or Terrova if I'm understanding correctly?

My best friend has a new terova.
It holds very well. It's very loud compared to my xi5 though.

I had a terrova on my boat that I bought in early 2019. The spot lock on it was extremely accurate, It would keep me precisely over a brush pile all day, regardless of wind or lake conditions. I replaced it with a garmin force, which has an inferior spot lock system.

I hope Garmin gets that issue sorted quickly. My Ultrex is dead on as well.
