    Giant Pickeral 1/4/20

We still got open water on Rogers Lake in Old Lyme, one of my favorite Jerkbaiting Lake, The Bass were not biting, But the pickerel were.

    Water was 38.5 degrees, I caught 7 pickerel, 2 monsters, a 4.03 & a 5.64 (PB).

Thx guys, but believe me, I'd rather be catching Bass, but a 4 & 5 pound pickerel is a monster toothy critter.

I will be going out again this weekend, hopefully with a Bass story.

Your right, Ive been going there for years, I have 2 boats, My Triton is hibernating, but I have a 14 footer w/ a 15 hp in my garage.

Whenever the weather gets really cold and the lakes are open , I head to Rogers, The way the lake is shaped you can always find a area out of the wind too.

Plenty of big bass in there too, But lately they have been spraying the weeds, so thats not good, hopefully they run out of money soon and the weeds come back.
